The last Doctor I interviewed was an OB/GYN. This interview i learnt the most because it was a lot closer to my choice of specialization which is Pediatrics. His says getting through the first year of medical school would be the hardest thing I would have to face. If I could get thriough my first year then i could get through the next six or seven years of training to be a medical doctor. His biggest advice to me was to surround myself with supporters that would cheer me on even when i dont pull through all the way. That reminded me of sher's cheer person's assignment. Overall the interviews were a sucess and i hope that they would lead me towards the right directions so that i could also achieve my dreams and goals in the future.
Another doctor i interviewed was a General practitioner, and it was interesting to me because he told me that his job was the most fun place to be in and that was the only reason why he came in to work every single morning. He was only motivated by the patients and their spirits even when they were down. He loved being a general doctor because he loved the fact that he received and treated all kinds of patients old and young! One of his main advice was to find a a job that not only suits me and paid the bills, but also one that i would have fun doing every single day!
For my planing wall i had a difficult time coming up with things to write down, because I really have never planned anything before. The wall is sort of like planning ur day by day activity which i know is impossible to do already because things come up that prevents us from doing something that we planned to do previously.
Despite all of that i think the planning wall will help me because now i know step by step what to do next and if i ever get stuck or lost atleast i have the wall to look to to put me back on track.

Role Model Interview II
My Interview Brianna, was quite similar to the interview with Arietta, eventhough asa model the experience one has is mostly the same i expected more out of the interview. What was most surprising about the interview was her unwillingness to talk about the money aspects of the job since she referred to it as "good money" I automatically wanted to know and understand vwhat she meant by good money. The interview basically reinstated vthe fact that I had to be ready to accept rejection and deal with it in a positive way and not take out my anger on other around me. Her biggest challenge she said was the pressue to remain skinny and trying not to fall victim of eating disorders. One important thing she has learnt through her eight years of modeling is that these pressure come with the job and one can only fight them if and only if they enjoy and love whatever it is that they do. She said"as long as it makes you happy, everything else will fall into place" I felt more of connection to her because she used modeling as a means to pay for her four years of undergraduate studies, which is what i also plan on doing!
Role model Interview II
My Interview with Dr Alausa went surprisingly well, despite the fact that I called him thinking I was going to hear the usual advice given. Dr Alausa was different because he gave answers that were real and made me consider the reality of the profession that i was so interested in. When asked what would be the perfect major in order to get into medical school, he simply replied "anything you love and know is worth doing" I started to ask why he didnt say biology because the perception most people get is that biology is the best major if you are intersted in going to medical school and he continued on saying"One of his biggest mistakes was having a mojor in biology because of what he thought." he goes on to say"I should have majored in anthropology which i loved so much and had so much interest in" I went on to ask him what his biggest challenge was and his reply was that money was his biggest enemy when it came to medical school. He said" Many people do not tell o the monehy issues that you are going to face and al o the loans you are going to procur while in med school, they only thing they do is make it seem as the word doctor is synonymous to rich. You dont get rich imediately trust me you dont it take hard work, time, pateince and perseverance to become rich those are synonymous." One of the most important things i got out of this interview was to take each day as it comes and to go into the profession of my choice only because i love it not just because i think im going to make money.

Interview with Arietta a NewYork Based Model!
I ony had an email address for my hero Arietta and I wasn't really sure it was going to be an effective way of doing an interview but i decided to try anyways. I sent her an email with explaining who i was and why i needed the interview and also the list of questions i would love for her to answer. I sent the email on tuesday of last week and I received a reply on Saturday! I was so thrilled to read the reply although it was brief and straight to the point, it was a good enough interview and it goes as follows:
What do you enjoy most about being a modeling?
I love the thrill, the traveling, meeting all kinds of people with different backgrounds and the money is good!
What are the setbacks?
The setbacks would have to be the pressure to stay thin, to look good at all times, the traveling can be overwhelming at times and plus the people in this world are not very easy to deal with but overall i love my job
What do you do when you feel down?
My family has been my biggest supporter since day one and i turn to them whenever i feel down and they always pu;; me through. I also prayer because prayer is the key to everything.
How do you handle rejection?
I look at it this way, some people are going to love you and some aren't and the sooner you know that and accept it the better you are at this job becuase you just have to accept the rejection and try again somewhere else.
What important lessons have you learnt doing this job?
Well I always wanted to model since the age of 8, but i never thought i would be making a living of it. I went to my fisrt audition not expecting much of it and viola! here i am! so the lesson i have learnt is to dream big and u will acheive that dream
What advice would you give to upcoming models?
My advice to young girls is to believe in themselves and their dreams and never let anyone take adcantage of them. Also stay around people who love you that helps a whole lot! and finally Pray its the key to everything!
After reading her reply i realized that i woud have gotten more out of the interview if it were done in person but nevertheless, it was insightful to read since it was coming from a current model.

Go Getter!!!
Goal: Fashion Model/ Pediatrician
How am I going to accomplish this goal?
Flow Chart
Step 1: Go on Intervies at different modeling agencies.
To prepare myself, I would get my Comp card ready and take any of the necessary pictures and go to the agency. Also prepare myself for the worst case scenario rejection!
step 2: Continue my Undergraduate Studies in order to graduate in 2011
Eventhough i want to do modeling, i know that it is not a long term career so i still have to stay focused on my studies even while doing modeling
step 3: Prepare for MCAT
I know it is going to take a lot of hard work and dedication to stay focused on studying for the MCAT.
step 4: Apply to Medical School
i would use this opportunity to apply to schools even outside the united states so that i can get the opportunity to travel to a different country.
step 5: Graduate and Start my Residency!
